Designed for staff with a Mac or Windows technical background, this Apple Certified course will provide an in-depth exploration of troubleshooting on macOS Sierra, providing students with the confidence they need to begin supporting Mac users in a corporate network.

Mac Deployment: Best Practices and Automation $ 495 CAD

Once your organization has decided to support the Mac platform, your technical staff will need to explore operating system, application, and data deployment methodologies. In OSI's custom one-day "Mac Deployment: Best Practices and Automation" workshop, your team will gain hands-on experience building and deploying images custom to your environment, learn industry best practices, and get Macs in the hands of end-users as quickly as possible. At the end of the workshop, attendees will have created a custom image that can be deployed to a brand-new Mac within 5-15 minutes of opening the box.

Prerequisites: Attendees should have at least one year of Mac support experience, including familiarity with the command line and basic networking fundamentals.

In OSI's custom one-day "Macs on your Network: Clients, Servers, and Active Directory" workshop, your team will gain hands-on experience setting up custom Mac network services, using Active Directory for client authentication and management, backing up your Macs, and managing Mac and iOS devices over-the-air with no per-device cost. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be ready to configure Mac-focused services in an enterprise network.

Prerequisites: Attendees should have at least one year of Mac support experience, including familiarity with the command line and basic networking fundamentals.

About the Instructor

Alex's Apple IT courses are rich in real-world anecdotes because aside from teaching, he also performs as an Apple Certified Systems Administrator for OSI's Professional Services customers. He has been studying the intricacies of the underlying operating systems and service architectures of Mac OS X since 2007 and has the experience in administering mission-critical servers to help you learn the best practices and techniques. Alex is an Apple Certified Trainer and has current qualifications in Server Administration, Security/Mobility as well as his speciality -- large-scale system deployment. He has attended Apple's World Wide Developer Conferences and Apple's Advanced Camp technical bootcamps, and was one of the key trainers for Pennsylvania State's Classroom For the Future project.

Register for an Exam

  1. Email training@officesolutions.ca to reserve a spot for yourself or your staff.
  2. At least one day before attempting the exam, log in to the Apple Certification Records System with an existing Apple ID, or create a new one. Ensure that your personal information is correct. You will need to sign in to the exam with this same Apple ID on the day of the exam.
  3. In order for OSI to proctor your exam, it must be purchased through OSI. Payment can be made in person at the OSI office on the day of your exam, or in advance via credit card by contacting the OSI office.

Exam day

  • Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your scheduled exam time.
  • Exams will be supervised.
  • You will not be able to take anything into the exam session with you. Please expect to leave cell phones and iOS devices outside of the testing room. You will be provided with a pen and paper on request but this must be surrendered following the exam.
  • You will not be able to leave the testing room during the exam, except in emergencies.
  • Your results will be available immediately following your completion of the exam.
